Sunday Post, Mailbox Monday and It's Monday, What Are You Reading? Feb 20 Edition

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

After all the snow that's been dumped our way, the weather has turned to spring, which I know won't last long. But I'm loving the sunshine! And making plans for spring which is just around the corner. Two big things on the agenda: renovate our basement and finalize plans to attend BookExpo. Is anyone going?

Mailbox Monday

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. Mailbox Monday now has a permanent home on its blog. Link up to share your MM.

I received these goodies in my mailbox:

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

  1. I think we're going to skip winter around here. We'e had very little cold weather and February has been like spring. I'm not complaining but I am wondering if it means this summer will be a scorcher.

Have you registered for BEA? I know several people who were denied admission this year.

  2. It's been springlike here the last few days, too. The crocuses are blooming, which is early even for Virginia.

I don't think I'll be going to BEA, though I'd like to go some year. It's just not in the budget this year.

  3. Mother Nature has been pulling some tricks lately, with sunshine mixed in with the stormy days. We had a spring-like day on Monday...and then, well, you can guess what happened next. Stormy weather!

Enjoy those books...the Lauren Carr looks like one I'd enjoy.

    1. Yep! Sounds just like our weather, except it's snow here and rain where you are.

  4. Spring is in my area too! Almost 70 (F) yesterday. The cover of Control Girl looks like the new Kristan Higgins book cover. I won't be at BEA but always look forward to hearing about it from bloggers who go.

    1. I love the cover of Control Girl. It's different for a non-fiction.

  5. Sunshine and February usually don't go together in Michigan so I'm loving the nicer weather. Let's hope it lasts. And I've never been to BookExpo although I've heard a lot. Hope you get a chance to go.

Love that Kitty Hawk cover! And Hannah's Moon as well.

    1. I registered and got accepted to go. Registration is NOT cheap. $300 USD which is like $400 for us Canadians.

  6. It was so warm around here last week, and now it’s going to snow. I guess that gives me an excuse to stay inside and read. I hope you enjoy your new books!

  10. We are having glorious spring-like weather too, I can't remember if we are "neighbors"? Anyway, it's been such a respite, as is your blog: a lovely place where I know I will see nothing offensive.
