Sunday Salon hosted by Readerbuzz is simply a place for us to link up and to share what we have been doing during the week. Sunday Salon is a great way to visit other blogs and join in the conversations going on there.
Spent the week working, cleaning, decluttering, and organizing...and yes, doing lots of reading. I decided to go through my Netgalley list and read all the books still to be reviewed. Some go as far back as 2012. My list is now starting to dwindle. I knew there was a reason I requested these books. So far they are turning out to be awesome reads! I think by the end of the summer, I will have read all the books on the list.
My hubby and I watched Badland Friday night. Reminded me of the Clint Eastwood westerns I used to watch as a teen. Kevin Makely plays the part well. Tough guy with a big heart. Some parts had us bursting with laughter. It was an entertaining movie.
Still waiting for Ikea to deliver my furniture for my reading corner. It's been 4 weeks...
Happy reading y'all. Stay safe and take care of each other.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organize yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.
What I reviewed and/or featured last week:
This YA novel was a quick read that kept me absorbed from the first page to the last.
If you're in the mood for a magical love story, this is it.
An interesting collection of poems from a man in touch with his feelings, his creativity, and his inspirations.
It's been a while since I read contemporary women's fiction.
This one is pulling on my heartstrings.

Hope you all have a great reading week.
Am I in the mood for a magical love story? Yes, I think I am. I've just added Someday in Paris to my wishlist for Paris in July.ReplyDelete
I like how you have gone back to your very old books and started reading them. It's wonderful that they are turning out to be such good reads.
I hope your furniture arrives soon. Delivery of items is quirky these days. I ordered one thing and got it the next day. I'm still waiting for a book I ordered weeks ago. I'm trying to be patient.
I think I'm just going to go to Ikea now that the store is reopened to see if I can just pick up my order.Delete
I read the Tyrant's Daughter several years ago and thought it was well done, though I wondered how many teens would find themselves in the story. Hope you are safe and healthy! Happry reading. My Sunday Salon postReplyDelete
The way I see it is that we get the perspective of an immigrant teen and that is always eye-opening.Delete
That's amazing you are doing the declutter and also the Netgalley cleanup. I always have about 10 but they are not yet published. I try hard to keep up.ReplyDelete
Happy reading and stay well!
Anne - Books of My Heart Here is my Sunday Post
Yes, I'm in one of those tidying up moods this weekend.Delete
I’m glad you’re discovering some great books. Good luck with getting them all read! I’m also trying to finish the older books on my TBR shelf. I hope you have a good week.ReplyDelete
Aj @ Read All The Things!
I also have tons of physical copies on my TBR shelf that I plan on reading this fall.Delete
That's awesome that your NG reads are turning out well! Hopefully that continues! And that Western sounds fun too... I'll have to check that one out. :)ReplyDelete
Be well and have a great week!
How great that you are going back and catching up on your NetGalley books. I am so horrible with that service. I guess it's just not for me. I have one book to read there, plus two older ones on another account. After that, I think I will give it up.ReplyDelete
In Style 4 Now sounds good. Hope you enjoy all your books.
I had abandoned Netgalley for a few years but I'm getting back to it since publishers are not sending out as many print books for review.Delete
It would take me years to read the old books in my Netgalley account. I do like the sound of Someday in Paris!ReplyDelete
Love that some of your NG books went back to 2012! Makes me feel not quite so guilt. Heat Like Mine looks good. Women's fiction is probably my fave genre.ReplyDelete
Really? I thought I was one of the few with older books still not reviewed on my NG account.Delete
I loved Heart Like Mine...and I am intrigued by your other titles.ReplyDelete
Decluttering...yes, I've done some of that lately, too. Tiny spaces become overwhelmed with stuff!
Enjoy your week, and here are my WEEKLY UPDATES
Decluttering is always a good thing to do. I need to wait until I have somewhere to go with what I don't want. Too many places are still closed around here. Come see my week here. Happy reading!ReplyDelete
My local donation center re-opened. Thank goodness because I was tired of all the bags and boxes I had lying around at home.Delete
i think creating your reading corner is excitingReplyDelete
sherry @ fundinmental
Yay for decluttering. I need peeps to move out so I can do that. Everywhere I turn they have taken over my home..lol Glad you are cleaning up your NetGalley!ReplyDelete
I have teens and still cleaning after them...Delete
I made a list of my Netgalley books and started reading them from the oldest forward. It's a lot more books than I realized!ReplyDelete
That's exactly what I'm doing!Delete
I'm glad I'm not the only one with older books from NetGalley. Even though my rating is above 90%, I am conscious that those books are there.ReplyDelete
I need to get back to decluttering...someday.
You have a nice group of new books. Happy Reading!
I'm aiming for 90% too. I'm at 75.Delete
Someday in Paris and Heart Like Mine both sound like good reads. I attempted to do a declutter a few weeks ago and ended up making more mess so I've given up on that idea for a while.ReplyDelete
I'm doing a significant amount of cooking, reading, and watching Netflix. I'm attempting to de-clutter and organize but I seem to be just moving things around and not accomplishing much. I'll look into Badland- thanks and have a good week.ReplyDelete
