Dragging my feet these days. Usually, I can handle winter blahs better than this. Anyone else feeling this way? A trip to a sunny Caribbean island would be ideal, right now. Sparkling blue ocean lapping a white-sand beach, a cloudless azure sky, tropical birds cheerily chirping as I sip a refreshing Pina Colada, a riveting book in my other hand (jerks self upright from daydreaming on laptop, keyboard buttons imprinted on forehead...)
Okay, back to reality.

Got this one free on Kindle:
I can't resist these historical fiction titles. Just need to find the time to read them!

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

Is that the truth or what? A Caribbean vacation sounds pretty good right now to those of us freezing in the north. :)
ReplyDeleteHope The company Files turns out good!
Yeah, I'm ready to pack my bags. :-)
DeleteIt's finally warmed up here but now it's raining all the time! lol
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new books!
My bags are packed, I am ready for a Caribbean island vacation and pina colada. I grabbed the freebie, so thanks for that!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be awesome for a bunch of us book bloggers to be lounging at the beach reading our favorite authors!
DeleteHa - We actually have a cruise scheduled for early March. :-) I hope the weather is good and that people don't have the flu.
ReplyDeleteI had that freebie. The Company Files sounds interesting.
Happy Reading!
You lucky gal! I hope you love the cruise vacation and have loads of fun and reading time.
DeleteI have the winter blahs for an entirely different reason -- we've barely had winter at all here in the Phoenix area. I feel totally cheated! I want the sun to go away for a few months and leave us alone. It's not in the cards apparently ... boo.
ReplyDeleteI want me some of that SUN! I was born in the wrong country...
DeleteHope you get some sunshine soon, while it is summer here, I know that I hate those grey winter days, sun is so brightening. Enjoy that fav author read.
ReplyDeleteSun is actually shining this morning, reflecting off the brilliant white snow-and-ice covered trees and bushes.
DeleteEnjoy your new books. A vacation would be wonderful. We've been getting so much snow, I'm over it.
ReplyDeleteMe too.
DeleteOh, I do hope you get that Caribbean getaway! It does sound good.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your books, and thanks for sharing. Thanks for visiting my blog.
I'm getting a little tired of winter too. I wish I could dig into my TBR mountain more frequently but I have no resistance when it comes to review books. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI have the "we need more rain" blahs, it being California. Come see what I'm reading this week.
ReplyDeleteLOL on your keyboard imprints. :)
ReplyDeleteENJOY your books...I hope your blahs go away soon.
I want more snow, we haven't been getting much this Winter here in Colorado. Gorgeous cover for The MacKinnon's Bride, I do enjoy historical fiction. Enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteI would love a beach trip right now. It’s dark and freezing and snowing here. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I struggle with the blahs this time of year. That's why I keep my blinds open wide to let in as much light as possible. Sometimes I have to change what I am reading to something light and zany too. Of course, I wouldn't turn down a trip either.
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for historical fiction too. I'm doing my best to stay away from book stores.
Hope you have a great week.

Crosby's book looks so good. I have a few of hers, I believe. I'd love a nice day here. It's either been freezing, snowing or raining it seems the entire year so far. Whew!
