Sunday Post, Mailbox Monday and It's Monday, What Are You Reading? Feb 13 Edition

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

So we're deep into winter and we're supposed to get 15-20 cm of snow today in Montreal, but lately every time they forecast snow it fizzles out into ice pellets. Not fun!

I'm enjoying my reading these days. I've been reading one great book after another. I read the article 8 Ways to Read (a Lot) More Books This Year by Neil Pasricha and this motivated me even more, not that I need motivation to read, mind you, but I love when someone else shares their love of reading. I feel a kinship. That's why book bloggers buy books recommended by other book bloggers. Heaven forbid, we miss out!

Mailbox Monday

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. Mailbox Monday now has a permanent home on its blog. Link up to share your MM.

I received these goodies for review in my mailbox:

Bought this one on Kindle for $0.99:

This one is an Italian classic. The author received The Nobel Prize in Literature in 1926 for this novel.
She was the first Italian woman to receive this honor.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

    1. I have yet to read Returned. It's only out in hardcover and I refer paperback, so I have to wait a little longer.

  2. We got more ice than snow and it's the worst. We're not having much winter this year, though - it's supposed to be 77 degrees today.

  7. I hope the weather doesn't get too bad! Ugh, ice is the worst. Our winter has been so mild relatively speaking (I shouldn't say that, especially in mid Feb!) but I'm ready for spring.

The Travel Book looks fun! When Bees Flew In For Breakfast looks interesting too.

  8. I have to admit sometimes I find books via other book bloggers - particularly given that books come out at different times in different countries so things will be familiar if they come out in Australia after I've seen them reviewed elsewhere!

  9. I love Alyson Richman, enjoy Garden of Letters :-)

The Beatriz Williams one also catches my eye, what a stunning cover.

    Have a lovely week,

  12. I live along Lake Michigan in Wisconsin - we have no snow on the ground and none in the forecast. Strange winter. I'm curious about After the Divorce so I'm off to look it up. Have a good week!

  13. Yes, we can't help but always look for more to read--or take in tips on how to read more--us readers. :-) Two Fat Cows looks really cute. Haha

I am looking forward to reading The Wicked City. I am glad you enjoyed it. I haven't yet read one of her books yet, but I so want to.

  16. Hope you stay safe in the icy conditions. Weather seems a bit strange in lots of places. Two Fat Cows looks so cute and When Bees Flew in for Breakfast looks interesting. The reading article has me intrigued... not sure how I could read more and still give fair share to each book. I read whenever I can already. :-) Happy Reading!
