Historical Fiction Reading Challenge 2010

Recently, I have been reading more historical fiction, therefore, I couldn't help myself when I saw this challenge. There are various levels of participation, so it won't be difficult to complete if you choose a level that suits your time constraints. The challenge is being hosted by Royal Reviews. Check out their blog and if you like, sign up for the Historical Fiction Reading Challenge. I have decided to go for the Fascinated level and read 6 books. This will leave open the possibility to join other challenges. Here are the rules as stated on the Royal Reviews blog.

Challenge Guidelines:

1. Anyone can join. You don't need a blog to participate.
--Non-Bloggers: Include your information in the comment section.

2. There are four levels:
-- Curious – Read 3 Historical Fiction novels.
-- Fascinated – Read 6 Historical Fiction novels.
-- Addicted – Read 12 Historical Fiction novels.
-- Obsessed – Read 20 Historical Fiction novels.

3. Any book format counts.

4. You can list your books in advance or just put them in a wrap up post. If you list them, feel free to change them as the mood takes you.

5. Challenge begins January 1st thru December, 2010. Only books started on January 1st count towards this challenge.

These are the books I will read: (I may read more or change them.)

1. The Silent Governess by Julie Klassen
2. The Queen City: Marquette Trilogy Book Two by Tyler R. Tichelaar
3. The Queen's Dollmaker by Christine Trent
4. A Bride Most Begrudging by Deeanne Gist
5. The Last Queen by C.W. Gortner
6. The Only Thing That Lasts by Tyler R. Tichelaar

  1. I probably won't join this one because I don't read a lot of historical fiction. Good luck!

  2. I am really bummed that I didn't know about this sooner. I have marked to-read the same books you chose on my goodreads account. Excellent choices.
