Sunday Post, Sunday Salon, Mailbox Monday and It's Monday What Are You Reading? August 2 Edition

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share our news. A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Sunday Salon hosted by Readerbuzz is simply a place for us to link up and to share what we have been doing during the week. Sunday Salon is a great way to visit other blogs and join in the conversations going on there.

It's been a relatively good week. Even if I can't travel this summer, I'm grateful for all the little (and big things) that make me happy, and I feel like I'm having a great summer, despite all that is happening! Every day, I'm discovering joy in the simple things in life. And I'm determined to use my time and energy to keep helping others.

Hope you are all well. Stay safe and take care of each other.

Mailbox Monday Edition

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. Mailbox Monday now has a permanent home on its blog. Link up to share your MM.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organize yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

What I reviewed and/or featured last week:
If you're looking for a good historical mystery series starring a feminist icon, this series will not disappoint!

A fictional account of a remarkable woman, who fought alongside Garibaldi in his revolutionary wars.
I've always wanted to know more about Garibaldi and this was a good start.

I'm happy to be spotlighting this fun YA trilogy today, a fantasy adventure series on tour this month.

Do you like books that feature art? I sure do. Check out my list.

  3. I'm glad you are keeping your energy and ideas moving. I seem to be unmotivated. But that could be it's the hot month here. I do get spurts of excitement about doing some things but this month has been tough. Enjoy your new reads and keep up the great outlook!

    1. Yeah, that happens occasionally to me when I do too much or have worries crowding my mind. Rest, time outdoors and a change of scenery usually help me get back on track.

  7. Isn't that the truth, the simple things are the best and the more we stop to appreciate them the more we love being alive. Just stopping to glance out at the gorgeous evening sky as I write. Her Last Flight is one that appeals to me, hope its good.
