Sunday Post, Mailbox Monday and It's Monday What Are You Reading? Jan 28 Edition

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Seriously, where do the days go? So it rained this week and covered our huge snowfall with a sheet of thick ice. It's treacherous to walk on our sidewalks, where most folks who venture out are doing the penguin walk in hope of avoiding the wipe-out fall. Watched Jurassic World this weekend and thought Chris Pratt looked awesome. :-)

Mailbox Monday Edition

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. Mailbox Monday now has a permanent home on its blog. Link up to share your MM.

For Review:

Ella and the Experiment by Lisa Doughty

Letitia and the Letters by Lisa Doughty

Both above books came in a box, beautifully wrapped inside with a personalized note. I love the details and the care the author showed in her appreciation for my time in reading her book.

Bought:

The Girl From Oto by Amy Maroney
I saw this one on sale for $0.99 and couldn't pass it up.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

What I reviewed and/or featured last week:

Melding Spirits by Michael E. Burge (Review and Giveaway!)
I loved the sleepy town setting of 1950s, the coming of age aspect, and the murder mystery.

Dirty Trickster, Corporate Spy by Martin D. Kelly (Review and Giveaway)
A memoir with confessions of past wrongs

 Currently Reading:

Funny memoir that I'm enjoying

Stop by and enter my giveaways!

Also posted on the right sidebar.

Hope you all have a great reading week.

  2. Oh ice is just the worst. That's what usually happens here. You do end up looking quite silly trying to walk around. lol

  3. That was sweet of the author to do that for you! I absolutely hate driving on that treacherous ice. If I didn't have to go to work, I wouldn't go out in that stuff.

  4. Haha, penguin walk. I’ve been doing a lot of that, too. The sidewalks are either flooded or covered in ice. Have a good week!

  9. What lovely packaging!

Be careful on the icy sidewalks! I don't know if I could manage, since we're not used to those conditions. But I am always careful in the rain.

Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.
