Sunday Post, Mailbox Monday and It's Monday What Are You Reading? Nov 5 Edition

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

The past dreary rainy week ended with a sunny Sunday, flooding my house with sunlight that I sorely missed. November is a dark month and as much as I dislike winter, the snow that will be here soon will help to lighten up the dark evenings. Mornings are hard this time of year so I'm happy when Daylight Savings Time gives us that extra hour of sleep!

Mailbox Monday Edition

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. Mailbox Monday now has a permanent home on its blog. Link up to share your MM.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

What I read and/or featured last week:

Lullaby Road by James Anderson (Review and Giveaway!) One of the best books I've read this year...

Quantum Success by Christy Whitman (Review)

  1. That extra hour was nice but I'd like to see them get rid of DST. We've had several cold days and I'm already tired of winter and ours is nothing compared to yours.

Enjoy your new books - the two Carter books look interesting.

    1. Sometimes I think I live in the wrong country. I'm tired of winter too and it hasn't even begun.

  2. I do like the extra hour even though the time change always screws me up for a few days lol. And November is usually pretty dreary here too- we've had rain now for several days. *sigh*

Glad you had some sun on Sunday though! I'll have to look up When Stars Go Out- that looks interesting.

  3. Sunshine is always nice, it does lift the spirits there is no doubt about it. I like DST and we have a long summer change here and I do like the long evenings.

  4. I'd be happy if DST went away. We had a rainy weekend which made traveling (by car) more challenging. I hope you have a good week!

  6. Nice looking bunch of books. I dislike how early it gets dark these days and am counting down the days until daylight begins to increase. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  9. Florida voted to stop DST but it has to be approved by Congress. I have to leave my office at 5pm as it is dark.
I see several books here I'm interested in checking out more. Happy Reading!
