Sunday Post, Sunday Salon, Mailbox Monday and It's Monday What Are You Reading? August 16 Edition

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share our news. A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Sunday Salon hosted by Readerbuzz is simply a place for us to link up and to share what we have been doing during the week. Sunday Salon is a great way to visit other blogs and join in the conversations going on there.

I had a good #staycation this week! Did lots of outdoor activities and reading. We had gorgeous weather. I biked 75 km last Friday! Montreal is the top third green city in Canada, and we have lots of bike paths along the shorelines of the island and throughout the city.

That's me in the middle of my two friends who are phys. ed. trainers. I didn't think I could keep up but I did.

And today we did some hiking at Parc de la rivière Doncaster north of Montreal. It's so beautiful to be in nature, breathing in that fresh forest air, hiking among big boulders and a gurgling river.

Hope you are all well. Stay safe and take care of each other.

Mailbox Monday Edition

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. Mailbox Monday now has a permanent home on its blog. Link up to share your MM.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organize yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

What I reviewed and/or featured last week:

A heart-warming story with a good cast of characters and the beauty of flowers; this one is a very satisfying read.

Very short book with info you can easily find online. Nothing new.

If you enjoy stories that explore emotional trauma and psychological drama, give this one a try. I enjoyed it.

  1. Beautiful hiking/biking spots. And nice haul, enjoy.

  2. Looks like you had a fun week! Enjoy your reading this week!

  3. Great photos! Congrats on biking 75 KM. I haven’t done that since I was a teenager. I used to bike a ton back then because it was my only way to get around. Have a good week!

Aj @ Read All The Things!

    1. Thanks! I biked too as a teen to get around like you, but in the past few years it's been to get my exercise. It's great for cardio.

  4. Sounds like a wonderful staycation! And 75 km- wow! Looks like an amazing area. That last pic of the river is beautiful there.

    Have a super week!

    1. It was truly beautiful. I've been hiking these before but I love going back.

  5. Great hiking photos! Your books look good, too. Enjoy your week and your books, and thanks for sharing.

  6. Your staycation sounds like fun. We have a lot of bike paths around here and they have been painting bike lines on the roads when they repave the main streets.

All your books look great. Curious to hear what you think of Little Joe. Hope you have a nice week.

  7. Such nice pictures and the exercise sounds good and fun!
    Enjoy your week and reading!

  8. Wow! I'm impressed by the 75kms. The three of you look like you had a great time. The Alchemy of Night looks interesting. Gorgeous cover too.

  9. That is a lot of biking! And you did it with two pe instructors. Good job. I'll never forget a bike ride my sister planned for us on our trip to Italy in 2018. I was dead last, and the car for stragglers was just behind me, but I was determined to complete the ride. And I did.

What a beautiful place to hike. You are fortunate to be surrounded by so much beauty during this time.

The Art of Arranging Flowers looks like a beautiful read. Thanks for recommending it.

    Enjoy your week!

  10. Love your biking photos!!
