Sunday Post, Mailbox Monday and It's Monday What Are You Reading? June 1 Edition

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share our news. A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

This was a quiet week at work. Things are slowly stabilizing. We are finally allowed to take vacation time, but no more than two weeks. We still have a shortage of healthcare workers here in Quebec. I attended two funerals (via Zoom) this week.

We had a heatwave though and I was finally able to get into shorts and a tank and soak up some much-needed sun!

Happy reading y'all. Stay safe and take care of each other.

Mailbox Monday Edition

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organize yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

  5. I hope so much that things are stabilizing where you are and that you are able to take vacations. I'm sorry there is a shortage of healthcare workers. It saddens me to think that you attended two funerals last week.

We've had a beautiful spring and summer is in full swing. I'm trying not to sink into despair about the pain of the world right now.

  6. Hi Laura,
The weather during the entire 10 week lockdown period has been amazing, in fact the temperatures have been more like those of mid-summer, a little too warm for me I'm afraid. I am most surprised that we haven't had water shortages declared and hosepipe bans, but perhaps they are saving that little gem for when a few more people get back to work and some sense of a new normality is established!

I really like the sound of 'The Stationmaster's Cottage' and 'The Giant', with my favourite cover art going to 'Seeing Mis Heartstone', although all your authors this time are new to me.

Continue to Stay Safe and enjoy your reading this week :)
