Sunday Post, Mailbox Monday and It's Monday What Are You Reading? March 9 Edition

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

I love spring except for one thing: losing one precious hour of sleep in the morning! I already get up early to get to work, so this week is going to burn me out until I finally adjust.

Early in February, we booked our trip to Italy in May only to realize a few weeks later that our dream trip has to be canceled because of the outbreak of Coronavirus. So disappointed! We are now waiting to see if our plane tickets will be reimbursed.

Stay safe, wash your hands often and keep reading good books!

Mailbox Monday Edition

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. Mailbox Monday now has a permanent home on its blog. Link up to share your MM.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

What I reviewed and/or featured last week:

This highlights the bravery of women intelligence agents during WWII. A good read!

Currently Reading:

Bits of wisdom passed from a father to his son.

Stop by and enter my giveaways!

Also posted on the right sidebar.

Hope you all have a great reading week.

  1. We booked a holiday to the UK and France late last year. We are due to go in a few weeks. We are still watching and waiting to make a final decision. At this stage, we are going. We'll see

I hope you enjoy What I Like About Me. I read it last year and enjoyed it a lot.

  2. I'm so sorry to hear about the trip! This virus is causing so many problems...

The time change always screws up my internal clock lol.

    1. Yeah...and it looks like it will get worse before it gets better.

  3. Oh such a pity about your trip. I heard today my sister and br on law intend to keep going and I think they intend Italy as one of the countries. I wish they wouldn't but its over $20000 they've put into it. If it were me not so sure.

    1. Everything is in lockdown in Italy. They may not be able to do the touristy things they want to so. Such a pity!

  4. I hope you are able to get a refund. My daughter is going to Greece in September, and she’s hoping it will still go ahead, all she can do is wait and see for now.

Wishing you a great reading week

    1. That's what a lot of people are doing. Waiting to see if they get a refund or postponing the trip for later.

  5. This week is always a tough one, adjusting to the time change.

We know someone who cancelled a trip to Italy and were able to get all of their money back so hopefully you can too.

  6. I hate the time change, too!

So sorry about your trip to Italy! My son and DIL live in Prague and were planning to come here in the spring...that will probably not happen, either. Sigh.

Enjoy your books, and here are WEEKLY UPDATES

  8. So disappointing about your trip to Italy. I hope everything works out.

I like the looks of THE TUSCAN SECRET. :)

Happy Reading, and I hope you are having a good week, Laura.

  9. Such a shame about having to cancel a dreamed of trip. I hope you get the refund.
You have several books here I like the looks of. The children's books look good and, although a bit macabre perhaps, We All Fall Down sounds interesting.
I hope you catch up on the hour loss and get in a good week of reading!

  10. All Fall Down is a timely read. With All My Heart looks so cute. Our daylight saving is due to end soon and it's starting to get a little cold in the mornings already (although my husband wouldn't agree with that. He is a winter person).

  11. Hmm. not sure I would be ready to read this book with stories of Plague right now. Though I know it also says resilience ;-)

  12. I'm ashamed to admit I've had Mistress of Rome by Kate Quinn on my shelves for years! I really need to give it a try. Happy reading!
