Sunday Post, Mailbox Monday and It's Monday What Are You Reading? Feb 4 Edition

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Yeah...it's February. Lots happened this week but what I had not expected was the death of a former co-worker that I still kept in touch with. She had cancer and fought it for a year. She was a social worker with a great sense of humor and a cool laugh. She was easy to like and work with and I learned so much working with her. She will be missed, and I'm so sad she's gone.

Watched The Music of Silence on Netflix, based on the autobiography of tenor Andrea Bocelli's life. I cried several times, of course, and loved all the scenes in Tuscany. The movie stars Toby Sebastian, who played Trystane Martell in Game of Thrones, as Bocelli. He does a really good job and looks so much like Bocelli as a young man.

Mailbox Monday Edition

For Review:

The Birds That Stay by Ann Lambert
So excited about this new release by Montreal author. Her book is set on Montreal too. I'm always curious about books set in my city.

Trials and Trails by Jim Halverson
Been awhile since I read a Western fiction novel

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

What I reviewed and/or featured last week:

A great start to a well-written trilogy based on Jane Austen

A good sequel to the first book
