Last Sunday of the year! This will be a year of change for me, and I'm determined to embrace each new circumstance with a positive attitude, courage and gratitude. Hope you're all enjoying time with your families. I've been playing tons of board games with my teen kids.

Some armchair travelling
I love children's books that empower young girls to dream big
I've been eyeing this one for awhile now
This one is in English and Spanish
Free Kindle books:
It's been a while since I read a medieval romance
Bought on Kindle:
This was on sale for $1.99 and I've been wanting to read it forever.
It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey
. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date
What I reviewed and/or featured last week:
NOTHING! I took the week off. It felt good to be offline and spend time with family.
I'm halfway through this one and it is really motivating me
Also posted on the right sidebar.
Hope you all have a great reading week.
I can't believe the year is just about over. I hope the changes in your life are all good ones.ReplyDelete
You got a nice variety of books - I'm sure there are quite a few winners there.
Happy New Year!
I know...every year I think that it went by so quickly. I believe the changes will be good this year because I'm ready for them. I can't wait to read my new books!Delete
How nice to spend time playing board games. We enjoyed that after the hurricane. (Sad it took such an event to get the family to play together.)ReplyDelete
Your list of books look like fun reading.
Ah - another decluttering book. I spent part of yesterday clearing out a couple of bookshelves - that weren't being used for books.
Happy New Year and Happy Reading!
I LOVE playing board games with my kids. Clearing the house always makes me feel better. :-)Delete
Board games with family are the best! And Are We French Yet? sounds awesome.ReplyDelete
Happy New Year!!
Yes, how true! A memoir about settling in France sounds good to me too.Delete
I have also taken a couple of weeks off, it does one good just to clear the decks for a while and spend time with family. Our board games also came out of moth balls, as did the urge to have a really good clear out of the house, so perhaps I should be reading the same book as you right now!ReplyDelete
You have a great mix of bright and colourful book covers this week, with something for just about everyone. For me personally, 'The Chef's Secret' sounds totally captivating and I am sorely tempted to add it to my list.
Thanks for sharing and I would like to wish you and yours a very Happy New Year :)
I totally agree! We need time off to rest and re-energize. I'm eager to read The Chef's Secret.Delete
Glad you had fun with the family this week. That's what holidays are for. The Chef's Secret looks good. Hope you enjoy your new reads. Happy new year!ReplyDelete
Yes its good to step back from reading and blogging and enjoy holidays and family. Reading will return!ReplyDelete
My niece loves Sarah J Maas. See what I read at Girl Who ReadsReplyDelete
The Chef's Secret caught my eye too!ReplyDelete
Maybe I need to read Clutter Free...I am getting sick of dusting all my things. LOL.ReplyDelete
Enjoy your New Year, and thanks for visiting my blog.
I hate dusting knick knacks too, and this book is so motivating!Delete
CLUTTER FREE sounds like a great book for the new year! I could use some motivation to get rid of all my junk. Not books, of course, but other stuff ...ReplyDelete
Happy New Year!
Yes, a new year, a new me, a new lifestyle...Delete
I bought A Court of Thorns and Roses too. For me it will be a re-read before I read the rest of the series. Come see my week here. Happy reading and happy New Year!ReplyDelete
I can't wait to read it...Delete
I hope your changes are all wonderful ones!!
ENJOY your books, Laura.
Most of your books are new to me. Happy New Year. My last update for the yearReplyDelete
The book about Provence sounds lovely. Happy New Year!ReplyDelete
I'll look forward to seeing your thoughts on The Chef's Secret and the clutter book. I am trying to fit in reading the Sarah J Maas books. I've bought many of them on audio. Happy New Year! Anne - Books of My HeartReplyDelete
