Unbeknownst to Margaret, her enemy's tentacles reach all the way to the White House and control senior personnel. Their powerful enterprise in jeopardy, the assassins will stop at nothing to cover their tracks. With cutting-edge surveillance--CIA, FBI, and NSA technology--there is nowhere to hide, no one to trust. No one is safe--anywhere.

My Review:
Reviewed by Laura Fabiani

I love discovering Indie gems and this book is just that. I wasn't taken in by the book cover or the title, but this political thriller is well-written with a layered plot and a cast of what seems to be unrelated characters whose stories come together in the end.

Clay Turnbull is an FBI agent who discovers an international drug operation led by law enforcement agents. Before he gets too far into his investigation, they falsely arrest him and kill him. This puts into motion a series of actions that snowballs into a full attack on anyone who is connected to Turnbull or might know of the operation.

The novel takes place within three days time. Although it's fast paced, the author does not skimp out on developing her characters. Each character is drawn out in how Turnbull's death affects them, starting from his wife and daughter. We know who the main bad guys are, so there's no surprise there, but it's all about how to protect the innocent people who unwillingly get caught up in this political drug-war.

I don't read many political thrillers, but I enjoyed this novel.  The author explores government corruption, greed, justice and the stalwart determination of individuals who seek the truth. One can't help but feel grateful to those men and women who put their lives on the line to bring down corrupt individuals. The last chapters where it all wraps up had me glued to the pages, even bringing tears to my eyes while reading the final paragraphs.

If you like well-written political thrillers with a colorful cast of characters, you won't be disappointed with No End of Bad.
