Sunday Post, Mailbox Monday and It's Monday What Are You Reading? March 12 Edition

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

So it was March Break here this past week and....I'm sleep deprived. My teen kids just can't get to bed at a decent hour (Mom, it's only 11 pm!) and I can't sleep when they are out of the house until late. Once they come home, my body can relax and I can finally get to sleep. Is it only me or do other parents with teens go through this?

Oh, and it's Daylight Savings Time so we lost an hour today! I'm going to have to start napping to catch up. *Sigh* Hope you all had a great week.

Mailbox Monday Edition

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. Mailbox Monday now has a permanent home on its blog. Link up to share your MM.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

What I read and/or featured last week:

The Madonna of Pisano by MaryAnn Diorio (Review & Giveaway!) This was good. I finished it in two sittings.

Walk With Me by Debra Schoenberger (Review, Author Interview & Giveaway!) More great street photography in her 4th book

  1. The time change always messes with me. I wish we'd pick a time and stick with it. Book Towns looks really good.

    1. It messes me up too. But spring time change is worse than the fall one.

  2. I've never been a mother but I've seen mothers from my family exactly the same and can't relax till their children are home. Enjoy your reads this week.

  3. It's not just you... trust me. :) Something about teenhood and suddenly needing to stay up super late! Course I did it too but that was different. :)

Island Games was written by a twelve year old? Wow. And Hindsight looks promising, I'm always a sucker for time travel.

    Have a great week!

    1. Yeah, I did it too and somehow it was different in our day. Of course, it was different. :-)

  4. Not you at all. You never stop worrying about them. My son is an adult and always out of the country.

Teenagers do love to stay out late. My mother had put a bell on the door so she could hear when my brothers would get in - like she was asleep anyway. :)

Take care, and I hope you have some wonderful naps this week. :)

    1. I'll be one of those moms who will never stop worrying. My kids do come in and say goodnight, no matter how late they come home, for which I'm grateful.

  6. I hate the time changes! And, as for teens, I remember it all very well. Not very much sleep, as I couldn't nod off until they came through the door after being out driving, etc.

Your books look tempting, especially Book Towns. Thanks for visiting my blog, and have a great week.

  7. I wish my teenager would leave the house more, not because i don't love to spend time with her, but I think it would be good for her to do more things with friends.
    Enjoy your books!

    1. My son is more of a home body but my daughter is a real social butterfly.

  8. Nice variety of books. I'm a night owl. 11 PM is the earliest I go to bed and it's often well after midnight. This time change didn't bother me. It helps that I'm retired and don't need to get up at a specified time. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  9. Nice variety. These days my work schedule makes it hard for me to stay up past 9pm on weekends and weekdays.

    Book Towns looks fantastic

    1. I'm ready for bed at 9pm too on some nights and if I do fall asleep, I will always wake up to check on my kids and make sure they are getting to bed at a decent hour.

  10. I remember those days when the kids stayed up later than me. Wasn't prepared for it but my hubby and I survived :)

  12. My teen only stays up late when he's working on AP homework. In a couple of weeks he'll be traveling on a school trip. I'll probably be a nervous wreck for that.

Book Towns looks cute. Come see what I'm reading

  13. Got to love the time travels. And Island Games by a 12 year old? Remarkable. Hope you get some sleep this week...along with Happy Reading!
