Sunday Post, Sunday Salon, Mailbox Monday and It's Monday What Are You Reading? Dec 6 Edition

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share our news. A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Sunday Salon hosted by Readerbuzz is simply a place for us to link up and to share what we have been doing during the week. Sunday Salon is a great way to visit other blogs and join in the conversations going on there.

Last month of the year and it's flying by so quickly. Most people are experiencing pandemic fatigue. Two of my colleagues are on sick leave for an extended period of time. More work pressure for the rest of us. I'm trying my best to take care of myself. This month, I'm going to focus on updating this blog because it has been neglected for a long time. I'm referring mostly to updating my pages with the review links by author and title.

I watched Season one of Beecham House. It was so good, but again, just like Sanditon, it has a cliffhanger ending and no Season two in the works. I'm enjoying The Madalorian, and Virgin River. My hubby got me hooked on The Queen's Gambit. He reassured me that the Season ends well with no cliffhanger!

Hope you are all well. Stay safe and take care of each other.

Mailbox Monday Edition

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. Mailbox Monday now has a permanent home on its blog. Link up to share your MM.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organize yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

  1. I've heard so much about the Queens Gambit. We let our netflix, Amazon expire so that's a bummer. I loved Game of Thrones though so I'm sure I'd become immediately addicted to any show right about now.Love the Sci-fi books you mentioned. I'm giving feedback on this writer's work who is writing about robotics in space and the concept of aura's and being able to sense what a person is feeling.

    1. It's true that it's easy to become addicted to TV shows so I try to be careful about what I watch and how much I watch too.

  3. We inhaled The queen's gambit, it's so good and I concur, no cliffhanger at the end. And yes, we're fatigued these days, wouldn't it be lovely to hibernate ?... I hope you have a great week :=

    1. I have a tendency to hibernate in the winter, but as soon as there's sun I'm outside trying to soak it all up.

  4. These cold, wet days make me just want to stay in my pjs all day, so, yes, I feel like in that way I have pandemic fatigue, too. The sun looks amazing today, thank goodness.

I need to update my blog soon. I think I shall do some yearly challenges in 2021, and I think I might need a page to keep track of those.

We watched Beecham House and enjoyed it. I had no idea there were no plans for a followup series. We haven't gotten to Sanditon yet.

You certainly have some great giveaways.

    1. It's also a period piece on PBS Masterpiece. It takes place in India and the cinematography is amazing.

  7. I hope you take some time to relax and care for you. The holidays can be so busy. Lucky for us we aren't doing anything so it won't be stressful. We might have some time to do some crafts once my daughter's classes are done for the semester.

    Stay safe and well!

  9. Work sounds tiring and with people away it does make it difficult. I have yet to watch season 2 of V River. Seems to have gone down well.

  13. Nice variety of books. I don't have any subscriptions to video networks except Amazon Prime which I barely use. I'm curious about all the series people mention but not curious enough to give them a try. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

    1. I barely used to watch TV but now that I work so much sometimes I'm too tired to read, and I need to give my eyes a break, so a bit of TV can be entertaining.

  15. I LOVED THE STAR-CROSSED SISTERS OF TUSCANY. I know you will too.

You would also love THE CHILDREN'S TRAIN by Viola Ardone. Italian names are beautiful, and there are quite a few Italian phrases and words used.

Hope you have had a good week, Laura.
