Sunday Salon hosted by Readerbuzz is simply a place for us to link up and to share what we have been doing during the week. Sunday Salon is a great way to visit other blogs and join in the conversations going on there.
Remember about two months ago I spoke of creating a reading corner? I had a corner in my bedroom that just seemed to accumulate stuff. It looked like this:
So I decided to remove everything from this corner and I created this:
This has now become my personal space where I read, meditate, listen to music or audiobooks, and relax before bedtime.
In the evenings, it's so cozy and relaxing. I have a scented candle, my Google Home Mini for listening to background music as I read or relax. I love love love this corner of my room. It's my space to retreat and unwind at any time of the day.
Hope you are all well. Stay safe and take care of each other.

Audiobook to Review from NetGalley:
NetGalley is now offering audiobooks for review. You just need to download the NetGalley Shelf app and use it to listen to your audiobook. I downloaded this audiobook which I had been eagerly waiting for release as an audiobook and I already devoured it. My review is coming up this week.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organize yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

Your reading corner looks so good!
ReplyDeleteI started listening to The Switch through the Netgalley app today. So far I am enjoying it a lot.
I hope you love it as much as I did.
DeleteThat reading corner looks lovely and cosy. :) I'm quite pleased Netgalley has added audiobooks. They're so helpful for those of us who suffer with migraines. :)
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteWhat a lovely cozy corner for reading and relaxing! I listened to The Switch over the weekend and loved it!
ReplyDeleteGreat before and after photos, and I LOVE that reading corner. Thanks for sharing. I am always looking for ways to make my tiny space better...I think I'll take a break for a minute, but I'm not done!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your books and your week, and I can't wait to read The Switch. Here are my WEEKLY UPDATES
Your reading corner looks very cosy, enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great reading week
Oh my goodness! I love your reading corner. After my younger son got his own place, I took over his old room. I started by painting the walls pink (to ensure that my sons never move back in, I joked) and put in bookshelves, a little desk, a Scensy warmer, music, and a comfortable reading chair. My family calls it my meditation room.
ReplyDeleteI'm eager to hear about The Switch. I enjoyed that author's first book a lot. Quite fun.
Have a good week and take care.
Now that was a smart idea! I hope you love The Switch as much as I did.
DeleteYour reading corner looks amazing. It seems like a wonderful use of a previously wasted space. I am starting to enjoy audiobooks but haven't downloaded the NetGalley App yet. I do most of my listening on my computer or on my Kindle which is pretty stress-free as I get my books from Audible. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI get most of my audiobooks on Audible too but downloaded the NetGalley app since I wasn't sure how to listen to an audiobook from them otherwise.
DeleteYour new reading corner looks great!

ReplyDeleteI saw audio excerpts at NetGalley but audiobooks may be too much for me to resist.
Enjoy reading and listening in your cozy corner!
I know, right? I'll have to be extra careful not to make too many requests!
DeleteI love your corner too and what a transformation. I never thought about it, but I actually have such a corner too but I use it more when I talk on the phone! No more- I love your idea of background music, reading, meditating etc. Such a great idea.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad my reading corner inspired you!
