I had a heavy work week. The situation is still very fragile here in Montreal with most COVID-19 deaths being among the seniors in long-term care residences and in regular residences, which is the population I work with.
I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a chilled bottle of Pinot Grigio wine on my doorstep from 3 friends of mine who wanted to encourage me. I was so grateful for their kind gesture!! It really cheered me up.
Hope you are all well. Please take care of yourselves and your families. Have a lovely reading week!

A friend of mine who works in a doctor's office has to wear a mask and face shield like that too. She's not complaining about it at all. Stay safe because the work you do is important! Happy Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteCompared to the hazmat suits the doctors have to wear in the hospitals, I'm grateful that's not my case. Thanks Kathy!
Delete"Feeling like Darth Vader". I can imagine! Isn't it crazy now? Still, glad to see you have the protection, it would be nerve wracking for sure I would think for all of you on the front lines. Stay safe this week!
ReplyDeleteI feel badly for those that are still having trouble getting protective gear.
DeleteThe PPEs are definitely crazy looking, but I'm glad you have access to them!! And love those flowers---you have wonderful friends!

I sure do. Thanks Nicole!
DeleteOh wow that is some photo - thanks for sharing, you sure have difficult work these days and we have nurses going down with Covid from seniors so do take care. I know you are. Great friends!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely gift from your friends!
ReplyDeleteYour work is so important and appreciated. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all you do. Our Soldiers' Home has been devastated because of this virus and many of the staff have been impacted.
ReplyDeleteGreat group of books this week. The Lost Lieutenant needs to go on my wish list.

I am impressed by your face shield and applaud your work! Hang in there.
ReplyDeleteI live in a senior residence, and so far so good. They are taking good care of us.
Your books look very tempting. I am curious about Comparison Girl, and I downloaded the new Lauren Carr book this week.
Thanks for visiting my blog, and stay safe.

I honor you for the difficult work you do. Most of the Covid deaths are hitting the same population here. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI imagine that the getup is awfully uncomfortable but I’m glad you are able to protect both yourself and those you visit. Enjoy your gifts
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great reading week, stay well x
You still look good behind all that protection.
ReplyDeleteHow nice of your friends to drop off encouragement!
Enjoy your reading and stay safe.
It's great that you are able to help/work with those populations. My father is not a senior, but he is in a nursing home and roomed near where they've been housing the patients with Covid-19. The stories we've heard (or even just cries in the background over the phone) are very difficult and sad. So thank you!
ReplyDeleteKiller Deadline sounds fun. Happy Reading!
