Sunday Post, Mailbox Monday and It's Monday What Are You Reading? August 19 Edition

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hi All! Yes, it's been a while. And those of you that have been reading my blog regularly know that when I'm missing in action it's because stuff is happening.

So this is what's been happening: I have decided to pursue my professional career and, therefore, on July 1, 2019 I sold my business iRead Book Tours and passed it on into the very capable hands of Lauren Carr!

Some of you may know that I am a Special Care Counsellor by profession. As I mentioned in previous blog posts, in February of this year, I was offered an opportunity to join the psychogeriatrics team in the Monteregie-Ouest area (just south of Montreal) to help with the growing need of assisting families who have a loved one with dementia. I specialize in the management of behavioural and psychological symptoms (depression, aggression, agitation, psychosis, wandering, etc). It’s a field I love and I’m ready to move on permanently.

Because I no longer run a business, I now have more time on my hands to pursue reading, especially on topics of neuropsychology. AND taking care of this blog which has felt a little neglected this past year. Looking forward to visiting your blogs once again!

Mailbox Monday Edition

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

What I reviewed and/or featured last week:

  8. I'm happy for you as you venture onto a job that brings you joy. My sister also works in something similar. Though stressful, she seems to find meaning in her work. Thank you for sharing 120 Days! It sounds intriguing - especially after reading your comment. :)
