Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at
Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
I enjoyed my summer so much this year that I'm still not ready for winter. The cold is here...wet leaves, biting wind, icy rain. Went shopping with my teen kids for winter boots and gear, hoping that if they buy the brand they like, they will actually wear their hat and gloves when the temps plunge.
My dad gave me several pumpkins from his garden so I've been making soups and baking a lot. I made Pumpkin Spice cake yesterday and my house smelled heavenly! Stay warm.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from
Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the
Book Date.
What I read and/or featured last week:
Lady of a Thousand Treasures by Sandra Byrd (Review and Giveaway! First time I read a book by this author whom I've been wanting to read for a long time
Also posted on the right sidebar.
Hope you all have a great reading week.
Ah love the pumpkin smell! And late fall is definitely here too, feels like... we've had a weekend of rain and wind as well. Feeling chilly!
ReplyDeleteI like the look of A Rumored Fortune! That one is new to me.
I love squash, any kind. I can't wait to read Rumored Fortune.
DeleteI am jelly. I use pumpkin from a can. I didn't know that the pumpkins we carve are different from the baking pumpkins until I was in my 40s.
ReplyDeleteYou're too funny!
DeleteIt's cold here, too, but I have a feeling my definition of cold and yours are just a little bit different. :)
ReplyDeleteYou go a nice variety of books - I hope they're all winners for you.
Yes, our cold is much colder I think. :-)
Deleteenjoy your reads this week! My post is here: https://wordsandpeace.com/2018/10/29/mailbox-monday-october-29/
ReplyDeleteThe weather has taken a drastic turn, here in the UK also. It has been such a long, hot summer, that to suddenly see frost on a morning and have freezing air temperatures, is a real shock to the system!
ReplyDeleteI have never read any Lauren Carr books, but after checking out your links and a couple of others, I really do think I should give one a try. Perhaps I'll begin with one of the shorter series, where the characters are not so firmly entrenched and I stand a chance of playing catch-up.
Thanks for sharing and enjoy the rest of your week :)

I started with one of Lauren Carr's books and now have become a fan. I hope you try at least one of her books.
DeleteLauren Carr's books are always good.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the colder weather either. :(
Thanks for sharing, Laura.
I'm glad we don't have to deal with cold weather storms. Only hurricanes. :-(
ReplyDeleteAll of your books look good. Nice to have some Lauren Carr books. Happy Reading!
