We continue to get sunny days and we are continuing our yard work, renovations and planning for our summer holidays. I watched Captain Corelli's Mandolin on Netflix this weekend and I loved it. The cinematography was beautiful and I wished I could have seen it on the big screen when it came out years ago. Also saw Avengers Infinity War and that ending made me want to throw my 3D glasses at the screen! Much like when we want to throw a book against the wall after an infuriating cliffhanger ending. Hope you all have a great reading week!

ReplyDeleteMary my #Sunday Roundup #18!
If you like time travel you can't go wrong with Heldt's books.
DeleteYour books all look awesome. I'm especially drawn to The Water and the Wine. Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteThe setting of that book and the fact that it's about a group of writers made me want to read it.
DeleteSounds like a nice week and fun movie watching. Thanks for reminding me of John Heldt's new book. I have The Good Knight too.
ReplyDeleteThe Water and the Wine sounds like one you will enjoy.
Happy Reading!
I like Heldt's books and need to make time to read them all.
DeleteGlad it's bee sunny, it's been nicer here too (finally)! Ugh all the yard work though lol. I hear you on Infinity War- what kind of ending is that?? Yeesh. :)
ReplyDeleteMy hubby does most of the yard work, thank goodness!
DeleteI also watched The Avengers this week, forgot to put it into my sunday post, will need to go on next week. I wasn't thrilled with the Avengers and the ending was a terrible cliff hanger. They really should've advertised it as a 2 part.
ReplyDeleteAngelica @ Paperback Princess
Yes, you're right, if they would have advertized it as Part 1 of 2, then that ending would have been okay.
DeleteNice looking books. I'm still waiting for Spring to be consistent. One day is nice, the next is cold so far. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI don't think consistency in our weather is ever going to happen. I'm just happy when it's sunny and warm.:-)
DeleteWhat great books this week. The Memory Tree and Refine should be on my wish list. Thanks for sharing.

Looks like a great reading week and I love the look of A Wager to Win. Hope it is as good as the cover promises.
ReplyDeleteI just finished it and LOVED it!
DeleteI'm checking out many blogs from this Sunday post. I see you're Canadian - I know some awesome Canadians. The first blog I reviewed on was Yummy Men & Kick Ass Chicks with Julie. I went to visit her when I rode my Harley up there. It turned out she lived only about 50 KM from where I was staying. She was good friends with Carmel at Rabid Reads and I think those are the first two blogs I ever read. They are sadly both gone now. My daughter was a big fan of Sharon Creech during her middle grade years. Anne - Books of My Heart
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize Rabid Reads is no longer posting. I've been around for 10 years and have seen blogs come and go. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteLove the cover on THE MEMORY TREE.
ReplyDeleteENJOY your books, Laura, and I hope you have a good week.
I read Captain Morelli's Mandolin years ago and liked it. I don't think I've seen the film so I'll have to see if I can find it to rent!
ReplyDeleteI have the book but never read it. The movie was really good.
