Everyone seems to be sick around me, fighting colds and sore throats. I've been doing great up until a few hours ago when I started sneezing and getting watery eyes and sniffles. Hopefully with some vitamin C and a good night rest I can fight this.
Hope you're all having a great reading week!

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.
What I read and/or featured last week:
Top Ten Tuesday: Bookish Resolutions/Goals I'm working on a few things in 2018 to improve my overall blogging experience
Degrees of Love: A Novel by Lisa Slabach (Review and Giveaway!) Wow! This one blew me away with its emotional intensity. Hard to believe this was a debut novel.
Reading Now:
This is the final instalment in the Donnie Ray Cuinn series.
I hope the author is planning on writing more!

I hope you don't end up getting sick like everyone around you. It seems like everyone around me at work is sick too. Where Will I Live by Rosemary McCarney sounds like it will be a touching read. I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteMe too! I hope I can nip it in the bud. :-)
DeleteHope you don't get sick! There is so much going around...
ReplyDeleteWhere Will I Live seems so timely. I'll have to check that one out...
Have a wonderful week!
Yes, it is timely. It contains photographs of refugee children around the world. makes me sad.
DeleteI hope you stay well!! The flu is horrible down here so I keep washing my hands like crazy.
ReplyDeleteWashing our hands is one of the best and simplest ways to avoid catching it.:-)
DeleteI hope you stay healthy too. (Reminds me to take some Airborne when I go to the kitchen.) Where Will I Live sounds heart wrenching. Hope you have a good week and stay warm.

ReplyDeleteI hope you didn't get sick. HUGS!!
I'm feeling progressively better!
DeleteHi Laura,
ReplyDeleteSo far hubbie and I have managed to avoid getting sick, but as we are both in public liaison roles and just about everyone we come into contact with has one or another of the various bugs and viruses going around, I guess it is only a matter of time! I hope that you manage to remain germ free :)
I must admit that I almost dismissed the Boyd Taylor book without checking it out. The cover art was definitely a little off-putting, as was that of the rest of the series. However, I found the premises intriguing to say the least and definitely worthy of consideration and when seen together, the book covers are actually quite clever and stunning ... A case in fact, of not judging a book by its cover!
Thanks for sharing and Stay Well this week :)

I felt the same way about the series. But now that I've read all the books I feel the book covers are spot on for this series. :-)
DeleteI hope you didn't get sick!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week!
