It's been a regular week. Working, taking the kids to ortho appointments, volunteering, and reading. Daylight savings time today, which helps me get a much-needed extra hour of sleep in the mornings, but the shorter days are hard. I miss the sunny days already. I watched The Intern with Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway and had some good laughs. Hope you're all reading great books!

An inspiring book by a teenage humanitarian and change-maker.

I was pulled in to pick up this dystopian book that looks like perfect escapism.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

I loved The Intern - it made me laugh and think. I don't like the shorter days of winter either. Enjoy your new books.
ReplyDeleteYes, it was better than I thought. Funny and reflective on so many counts.
DeleteSunset Rising seems an interesting book. I always love a good dystopia.
ReplyDeleteHappy readings! ;)

I like good dystopia too, and I'm hoping this one is good.
DeleteSunset Rising has such a beautiful cover! I enjoyed the extra hour this morning. I spent it reading:) And I don't like the short days either. It gets dark and I want to go to bed and read. LOL
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday Post
I was attracted to the cover too.:-)
DeleteI spent my extra hour reading. I hope you enjoy your new books!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Perfect way to send an extra hour! I did the same thing. :-)
DeleteI hope you enjoy your new books. Happy reading and have a wonderful week. 😁❤️
ReplyDeleteJust went over to Netflix and put The Intern on my list to watch as I do believe I'd enjoy it. The time change, whichever end it comes on usually makes it strange for awhile. Enjoy your reading this week.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think you will definitely enjoy it!
DeleteI really struggle with the time change. Momentus looks like a good book. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI do too, especially in the spring!
DeleteSunset Rising has an intriguing cover. I hope you enjoy it. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteAll your books are new to me. Enjoy them all and have a good week.
ReplyDeleteI watched The Intern at the theater, and then saved it on my DVR when it came out on TV...I love watching it. It is great to see Robert DeNiro in something where he isn't a "bad guy." LOL.
ReplyDeleteMomentus looks like a YA book that is not superficial...LOL.
Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.
I hope this week is good for you, Laura.

My Mailbox Monday
We are grumbling about the time change too. I would much rather have that hour of daylight at 5:30 pm than 5:30 am. :-)
ReplyDeleteYour titles are tempting me this week: Found in Time and Sunset Rising. Momentus looks good too. Happy Reading!
Hi Laura,
ReplyDeletewe had our time change a week before you folks in the States, but my body clock is still struggling with the switch to a little more daylight in the morning. They keep talking about abandoning the time changes, but I doubt that they ever will!
A little off my usual reading track, I really like the sound of 'The Painter's Apprentice' and I love the cover art of 'Sunset Rising', although the premise isn't really calling to me!
Enjoy all your new finds, thanks for sharing and have a good week:)
Yvonne
I like the shorter days. Come see what I'm reading.
ReplyDeleteTime travel sounds appealing . . . I could use some escapism.
