It's still hard to believe that 16 years ago the twin towers fell...September is a crazy month for me with too many things scheduled. Thank goodness I'm reading some good books.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

My Mailbox Monday
This is a sad day for the US - a day that changed us forever.
ReplyDeletePlay Like a Girl appeals to me.
I agree. Truly sad. And I hope never to be repeated.
DeleteYes, 16 years seems like a long time, but like with most tragedies, we always remember what we were doing. My European son was visiting and was working on a Beer Garden in my backyard...I went to get the mail at the post office and turned on the radio. Everything changed, then.
ReplyDeleteNothing will ever be the same.
Enjoy your week, and I'm curious about Life Long. Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
So true. My daughter (6 months at the time) was sleeping and my husband calls me from work and asks if its true what he's been hearing on the radio. That's when I turned on the TV and witnessed those horrifying scenes.
DeleteI was just reflecting on the 16 years myself. My kids were all in elementary school and are all adults, some with families of their own. I can remember exactly where I was.
ReplyDeleteMe too. My daughter (6 months at the time) was sleeping and my husband calls me from work and asks if its true what he's been hearing on the radio. That's when I turned on the TV and witnessed those horrifying scenes.
DeleteSixteen years! I remember it like yesterday. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteMe too. That date will forever be implanted in our minds.
DeleteI remember talking with my then high/middle/elementary school aged kids about what happened and hope I never have to have that kind of conversation with my grand kids.!
ReplyDeleteI too hated having to tell my kids about world events that are downright scary.
DeleteThe Sky Throne looks really interesting! I hope you are enjoying it.
ReplyDeleteHead over and see what I'm reading HERE
Yes, I am enjoying it very much.
