Sunday Post, Mailbox Monday and It's Monday, What Are You Reading? Feb 6 Edition

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

I'm so happy to have rediscovered my love for audiobooks. Now when I cook and fold laundry, those audiobooks give me hours of pleasureful listening.

Listen to ANY one audiobook for FREE

If you love to listen to audiobooks, I have a special offer for you. Rekeish from eStories contacted me and asked if I had blogger friends who would be interested in getting a free audiobook of their choice in return for writing a review, no strings attached. If this is something that interests you, please leave me a comment and I will give you his contact details.

Mailbox Monday

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. Mailbox Monday now has a permanent home on its blog. Link up to share your MM.

I received these goodies for review in my mailbox:

If anyone is interested in reviewing Xenogeneic, let me know.
It's on tour with iRead Book Tours from March 13 to April 7.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

    1. Yes, now I want to read her next book too! Lauren Carr's books are addictive. Once you get to meet her great cast of characters you just want to keep reading every book she publishes afterwards.

  3. I get so distracted when I listen to audiobooks (unless I'm in the car- then it's okay), I really wished I didn't since I would get more reading done!

    1. Yeah, I had to work hard at getting used to this auditory experience because I'm so visual! But it works a different part of your brain and this is a good challenge to keep the brain young. The more audio books you listen to the easier it gets.

  6. I love a good audiobook too and am listening for eStories to review. However I don't always listen while houseworking etc. Usually just while walking. I find I love a lot of silence. But then again I love audiobooks too.

  9. Lessons from a Difficult Person, I want to hear more about this, maybe good for me to read as I give training sessions on this topic. I really enjoyed Orphan Train, bringing the modern to historic was executed well.

Lots of good books and bookish fun.

A WARRIOR OF THE PEOPLE looks good.

  11. I am still finding my way with audiobooks, but I'm enjoying them more now that I've had "practice" listening to several and have a good idea of what works for me and what doesn't. I still prefer my print or e-books over audio, but when the household chores need to be done, an audio book makes everything much more fun. :-)

I am glad you liked The Orphan Train! I did too. Like you, I liked the historical story best, but the contemporary one was also very compelling.

I hope you have a great week!

  13. Glad you're enjoying audiobooks so much! I don't know how I'd get as much reading in without them. I haven't tried eStories yet but have a credit to check it out. Have a great week!
