Mailbox Monday
Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. Mailbox Monday now has a permanent home on its blog. Link up to share your MM.
I'm very excited to have been asked to be a guest speak for The Book Marketing Summit, an online event happening today Jan 30 to Feb 5 that features 26+ expert speakers. I felt humbled to be among such a fine group or speakers, many of whom I have admired for years. If you are a writer who wants to learn more about book marketing, this is the perfect event. It's free to attend for this week only, after which you will need to pay for the sessions. Check it out here: The Book Marketing Summit
I received these goodies for review in my mailbox:
Got this one free on Audible:
Audible is giving U.S-based members of the Goodreads community a free audiobook. I'm in Canada and was still able to get it free. You can get it here.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.
What I read and/or featured last week:
SuperLife: The 5 Simple Fixes That Will Make You Healthy, Fit, and Eternally Awesome by Darin Olien (Review)

Congratulations on the speaking gig, Laura! I'm curious about the Sherry Thomas book so I'll look it up on GR. Have a wonderful week!

Congrats on the speaking engagament! A Study in Scarlet Women looks like a good mystery, and Superlife is one I've been wanting to read. And even though it's not my usual kind of read I do kinda want to try a Williams book- the jazz age setting sounds fun.
ReplyDeleteThanks Greg. Yeah...I couldn't pass up A Study for Scarlet Women. I mean a female Sherlock Holmes? Sounds wonderful.
DeleteCongratulations and enjoy your speaking engagement. The Dressmaker's Dowry looks engaging and I was just eying Touched With Fire. I'm looking forward to Kill and Run, then A Fine Year for Murder. Thanks for the tip on Born a Crime - I must have missed that email where it was free but I got it now. Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteI love hearing about freebies from other bloggers so I'm paying it forward. :-)
