This series will on tour with iRead Book Tours from February onward.

Dawn of Destiny by Lee Stephen (Epic #1)

Some men go to war for the glory. Some men go to war to escape. For Scott Remington, war is entirely different. It is a belief. It is a calling. It is a destiny. Leaving everything behind-his fiancée, his future, his life-he embarks on a mission of faith into a battle he can barely understand. This is his story. This is his war. This is only the beginning.
Outlaw Trigger by Lee Stephen (Epic #2)

They say every man has a breaking point-every man can be pushed off the edge. Scott Remington entered EDEN with the heart of a lion. He forged glory in the furnace of war. But on the heels of dawn, darkness awaits. Only when stretched to the limit will a man truly learn who he is. That limit is about to be breached. Lines will be crossed. Sides will be chosen. And faith will be put to the test. Will the righteous prevail?

Hero by Lee Stephen (Epic #3)

Throughout its domination of Earth, humanity has been tormented by its own imperfection. The miracle of life is tarnished by the tragedy of sin. All fall short of the glory. Three months have passed since darkness overwhelmed the Fourteenth of Novosibirsk-since the lion's mane was surrendered for horns. Scott Remington has succumbed to the worst side of human nature, one consumed by violence and rage. He has become the very thing he sought to punish. With rightness hanging in the balance, he must now face the fiercest enemy he has ever known: himself. Redemption awaits. Will the fallen find their way?

The Glorious Becoming by Lee Stephen (Epic #4)

It is March of 0012, and change is on the horizon. President Carl Pauling nears retirement. Nightman control of Novosibirsk is reaching new heights. And in the depths of The Machine, a revelation about the Alien War has put the Fourteenth on a collision course with the truth. Embarking on a mission that threatens the very fabric of the war, Scott and his comrades seek to reveal an enemy far more dangerous than any they've faced on the battlefield. Far more sinister than anything from the stars.

Dawn of Destiny by Lee Stephen (Audiobook)

The Dawn of Destiny audiobook project is a full adaptation of the first book in the Epic series. It's not your typical “audiobook,” even though technically that's what this is. When people hear “audiobook,” there’s a certain type of thing that usually comes to mind. Most likely it’s the thought of someone reading a book to them, occasionally with music playing in the background. This isn’t that.

What you’re going to hear in this project, is more of an audio “experience,” the audio equivalent of a summer blockbuster movie. Over thirty voice actors played a role in this. This is ear-splitting sound effects, bombastic music, and characters shouting back and forth in the middle of a war zone. This is unlike anything you’ve ever heard.

This meme is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we keep track of what we are currently reading and plan to read.  The kidlit version is hosted by Jen at Teach Mentor Texts.

Currently reading with my son:

The Blood Mile by Andy Lyberopoulos (It's got a great cast of quirky characters!)

I met Andy, the author, at the Toronto International Book Fair, where his book was featured. Andy was super friendly and fun to talk to. He told me he would let me know when he was coming to Montreal. I hope to make my son meet him. We are enjoying his book!

Andy Lyberopoulos with me and his beloved chicken!

Andy set up a booth that won an award for originality. It consisted of a rusty old tractor (the real thing! Andy regaled us with tales of how that actually got it into the convention center) along with Sawyer, the chicken, a mega screen that played scenes of farmland and a background replete with bales of hay, rakes and a grass floor. Kids (and us included) loved it!

Andy signing his books for the kids that flocked to his booth to meet the chicken and find out what this book was all about.
