Mailbox Monday and It's Monday, What Are You Reading? for Oct 8

Mailbox Monday was created by Marcia who now blogs at Mailbox Monday. It is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. Marcia is hosting for the month of October. You can also view the touring blog list here for the upcoming months.

No books for review. I bought this cookbook after reading Julie's review of it on Booking Mama.

The Mom 100 Cookbook: 100 Recipes Every Mom Needs in her Back Pocket by Katie Workman

Introducing the lifesaving cookbook for every mother with kids at home—the book that solves the 20 most common cooking dilemmas. What’s your predicament: breakfast on a harried school morning? The Mom 100’s got it—Personalized Pizzas are not only fast but are nutritious, and hey, it doesn’t get any better than pizza for breakfast. Kids making noise about the same old lunch? The Mom 100’s got it—three different Turkey Wraps, plus a Wrap Blueprint delivers enough variety to last for years.

I was excited to get these free Kindle books on Amazon, and although I do not yet have a Kindle, I can read these ebooks on my phone (with the Kindle app) while I wait to get a Kindle Touch ereader.

This meme is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we keep track of what we are currently reading and plan to read.

Read and reviewed:
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald (Read my thoughts on banned books and enter to win a $10 Amazon gift card--today's the last day.)
Dangerous Favor by Joyce DiPastena (Fun, medieval romance!)
The Ice Cream Hotel by Jack Johnston (delightful and delicious book)

Finished reading:
Twelve Months by Steven Manchester
All These Things I've Done by Gabrielle Zevin (audio)

Currently reading:
A Voice in the Wind by Francine Rivers (Fascinating and epic!)
Ungifted by Gordon Korman (middle-grade fiction)

Listening to:
Hold On to Your Kids: Why Parents Need to Matter More Than Peers by Gordon Neufeld and Gabor Maté  (Insightful)

Hope you all have a great reading week!
